<strong>Andrew Maclean</strong>
Andrew MacleanDirector/Climbing Arborist

Andrew established the business in 2006, having completed a degree in Land Management with modules in Commercial Forestry.  Andrew passed his first chainsaw certification when he was just 16 and although he doesn’t climb every day now, he holds NPTC certification in all aerial tree works as well as numerous other qualifications including Felling Large Trees, Use Of Winches, Tree Surveying and is LANTRA Certified in Professional Tree Inspection. Andrew quotes for all work himself and is also the Company Secretary, Accountant and Mechanic. He is a trained First Aider and a British Standard Certified welder amongst other things. He likes to relax by restoring old Land Rovers and track driving, when time allows!

<strong>Ryan Beckett</strong>
Ryan BeckettTeam Supervisor/Climber

Ryan joined the company in its early days in October 2007 having previously been employed by Andrew’s Father. He was groundsman for Andrew for 4 years and now supervises the 2 teams we run on a daily basis when Andrew is not present. He holds NPTC certification in Climbing and Aerial Rescue as well as all NPTC ground chainsaw operation certification and specialises in takedowns.  He is a trained First Aider. Ryan is a devoted family man and looking after his 2 children and taking them to Football practise takes up most of his spare time. His hobbies include motorcycling.

<strong>Tom Davies</strong>
Tom DaviesGroundsman

Tom joined the company in January 2012 after working part-time the previous year. Tom had previous experience in the Landscaping industry and has completed a short course in Environmental Management at Abingdon & Witney College. Tom holds NPTC certification in Climbing and Aerial Rescue as well as all NPTC ground chainsaw certification and is a part-time climber. He is a trained First Aider. He is a keen footballer and cricketer and spends the Summer months playing sport most weekends.

<b>Ben Strange</b>
Ben StrangeGroundsman

Ben started for us in November 2015 filling in for sick leave and is now a full time part-timer. Ben completed a 10 week Tree Surgery course at Merrist Wood with Dax and also has a degree in Agricultural Business Management.

He holds NPTC Certification in Climbing and Aerial Rescue as well as all NPTC ground chainsaw operation certification. He has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. Ben’s Father was a tree surgeon and his hobbies include Countrysports and Rugby. 

<strong>Dax Hedges</strong>
Dax HedgesClimbing Arborist

Dax joined the company during the summer of 2012 as a climber. He completed a 10-week Tree Surgery course at Merrist Wood before he joined us. He is a fully qualified climber, possessing all the relevant NPTC certification. He spent a year in Australia during 2013 where he worked for a large Tree Surgery outfit and gained invaluable experience working on large trees and developed his rigging techniques enormously. Dax is our lead climber and will tackle anything. He is a trained First Aider. He plays competetive Ice Hockey for Oxford and is a devoted father of 2.  

<strong>Colin Tripp</strong>
Colin TrippGroundsman

Colin works part-time for us, being mainly employed with Andrew’s father’s business. He has helped out with ground-duties ever since the business was established and continues to do so on a regular basis. His brush-dragging capabilities are legendary.

<strong>Declan Carroll</strong>
Declan CarrollGroundsman

Declan joined us in November 2014 as a full-time groundsman. He holds NPTC certification in chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting and will be taking his Felling certification later this year. He is a trained First Aider. Declan has recently become a Father and is a keen Roller Hockey player in his spare time.
